Here you will find a few houses for sale in the Perigord Vert area of South West France.

They are being sold directly by their owners, so there are no agents fees.

They are in the Perigord Limousin Parc Naturel, a very rural area of small hills and valleys with much woodland and many streams, rivers and lakes. The climate is hot in summer and cold in winter, with a relatively high rainfall which keeps it greener and fresher than the surrounding areas. The rain however tends to fall in heavy showers over short periods, often during thunderstorms in summer, and then the sun comes out again!

The area is busier with tourists in the summer season, but nothing like some very ‘touristy’ areas further south in Dordogne, and very quiet in the winter. It’s an area with a relatively low income population and second home owners are often welcomed because of the income they bring, along with the local property taxes that they pay. Again unlike some other areas, shop and business staff tend to speak little English but often enough to get by, particularly if you speak (or try to speak!) French to them first.
